How do you safeguard my credit card information?

Last Updated: Sep 06, 2011 10:42AM PDT
We utilize PayPal Payment Solutions to process our customers' credit cards. The security of your information is our upmost priority, so we employ only industry-best practices when transferring, storing, and processing your credit cards.

When you place your first order with us, we transmit your billing information across a secure connection to PayPal's servers. PayPal then returns to us a token, which we store and use for any future transactions you might wish without requiring you to enter your credit card again. The industry term for this is "Tokenization", and is widely recognized as the most secure method of processing repeat credit card transactions.

Unlike a typical system where merchants actually store a customer's card number in an encrypted database, or those that require you to enter your credit card each time, all we store and send is this token. This significantly minimizes your risk and is in fact completely PCI compliant. In the unlikely event that our servers were hacked, your credit card would remain safe from prying eyes.

We hope that this puts your mind at ease. If you do have any security-related questions or concerns, please email us at team@sincerely.com and we will be happy to address them.
